Checking the pH Sensor

1. The pH sensor must be checked every 6 months or after any incident when the pH level goes out of range.
2. While still attached to the controller, place the sensor in a clean glass of tap water. 
3. Add a small amount of acid or vinegar to the water and take a reading. It should show a low number.
4. Place the sensor into a solution that is higher than 7.5 pH and verify that the reading is increasing
5. If the sensor does not show the indicated reading, then it must be replaced.
