To replace an existing check valve flapper assembly:

1. Remove the eight screws from the existing check valve lid. Remove the lid and O-ring from the valve body.

2. Discard the existing Lid with Flapper, eight screws, and O-Ring.

3. Replacement Check Valve Flapper Kit: Before installation sure the O-Ring is seated around the lid correctly. While holding the replacement lid and flapper, carefully insert the lid and flapper into the top of the valve body ( slightly close the hinged flapper while inserting).

4. Rotate the lid and flapper so that arrow on the lid is pointing to one of the ports, and align the lid screw holes with the valve body screw holes.

5. Secure the lid with the eight Phillips head screws ( hand tight) then retighten the screws in the sequence shown below to the following sequence:

Torque sequence: First install all the lid screws ( hand tight), then retighten the screws in the sequence shown below to the specified torque.
