CHLORINATION:
Establish an initial chlorine residual: Establish an initial chlorine residual in the 1.0 - 3.0 ppm range with a fast- issolving, granular product or a liquid chlorinating product. Follow directions on the labels of these products.Maintenance of chlorine residual: When an initial residual has been established, maintain the residual with 1 tablet per 8,000 gallons every 7 - 14 days in a chlorine tablet feeder. The number of tablets used every 7 - 14 days may vary with temperature, wind, pool usage, and feeding method. Test the chlorine residual in the pool water frequently with a reliable test kit. Adjust the tablet feed rate as necessary to maintain the chlorine residual in the 1.0 - 1.5 ppm range.
