Pouralid skimmer lid comes with 2 parts, a collar that fits on almost all skimmers and a masonry fillable skimmer lid. When laying out the deck work, you will want to remove the existing collar. Then, set the collar in place into the skimmer throat where the basket goes. If the collar sits too tall, then you can trim the skimmer throat and the collar will hide the rough edge. You can use strong tape to preset the collar to the finish surface elevation place until concrete is poured. You want to keep the skimmer lid separate at time of pour. After all concrete is finished and the skimmer lid is filled, you should clean out the collar and wipe off the skimmer lid’s exposed plastic. Lastly, set the poured finished masonry lid into the collar to create a strong matching masonry lid.
